Larkin Zahra wins

Larkin Zahra has won a Facebook contest to form part of an EU delegation which will receive the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo in a few weeks' time. He won a Facebook competition after beating off a surge by Italian voters last night. Zahra was among 5,397 young Europeans who participated in a contest where participants were asked: What does peace in Europe mean to you? Larkin's reply was: My grandparents would have said "a dream". My parents would have said "a process". I say that it's my everyday reality! He and 15 other contestants were shortlisted and people could vote for the winner on Facebook. The Maltese contestant received 8,094 votes, slightly more than the Italian runner-up.
