A number of Architecture graduates were questioned by the police this morning for allegedly scribbling graffiti on the gate of De la Salle College during their celebrations.
The police tracked the graduands to Valletta and stopped them in St George's Square, asking some of them to go to the police station for questioning.
Some of those allowed to leave the station told timesofmalta.com that phallic symbols and rude phrases were among the things splashed on the college walls.
The vandalism was cleaned away by school staff shortly after the police report was made.
In Valletta the graduands were also told not to create noise as they celebrated near Parliament, where the Budget vote was being held.
The students, many of who were visibly inebriated, expressed their dismay at having their celebrations cut short.
However the celebrations continued later in the afternoon.
