German cyclist injured in 'hit and run'

A German cyclist was injured this afternoon when he was hit by a van which kept on going. The incident happened on the Coast Road at about 2.30 p.m. The man, 68, suffered facial injuries, including a swollen eye, but refused hospital treatment. Policemen of the Rapid Intervention Unit and district police were on the scene.
