PN being rebuilt to become a strong party - Simon Busuttil

PN leader Simon Busuttil said this evening the party was being rebuilt to ensure it would be a strong opposition. Speaking during a party activity in Marsascala, Dr Busuttil said that although it was summer, the party was going through a re-engineering process at all levels to make sure that its foundations were strengthened so that it could move forward and progress on a sound footing. This work was already giving positive results so much so that by the end of the month the party's finances would break even. "We are rebuilding the party. In order to be a strong opposition we need to first put our house in order." Referring to the evolving political situation, Dr Busuttil said that the latest Police Board inquiry was reminiscent of the dark days of labour. Instead of investigating those who made a mistake and accused the wrong person, the board investigated and put the blame on those who rectified the situation and arraigned the right person. "This is unbelievable and unheard of," he said. Dr Busuttil warned the Police Commissioner that the party would not let him victimise any members of the force.
