Woman kept girls who ran away from home at her apartment

A 32-year-old woman from Zejtun, Chantelle Desira,  has been jailed for 18 months and fined €1,500 after admitting to giving drugs to two girls. The girls, both teenagers, had run away from a care home for girls with behavioural problems. Desira also admitted having been in possession of ecstasy. The police told the court that Desira had kept five girls who ran away from their homes at her apartment in Floriana for up to 10 days.
