Feast of St Paul's Shipwreck in Valletta

The feast of St Paul's Shipwreck is being celebrated in Valletta today, having been moved forward because February 10 clashes with Carnival. Feast enthusiasts breathed a sigh of relief this morning as fine weather emerged after several days of rain - with more rain forecast in the coming days. Archbishop Paul Cremona is leading Pontifical Mass this morning - with President George Abela and the political leaders leading the congregation. The feast will also be celebrated with the traditional mid-day band march and the procession in the evening. The political parties will not be holding mass meetings today but Joseph Muscat will address a rally while Dr Gonzi will take part in interviews on radio and television.
