The owners of Tyson Butcher were yesterday ordered to pay their supplier, Five Effs Import Co Limited, €54,000 for frozen items they had purchased.
Jonathan and Melanie Pace, who own the butchers shop, last December admitted to the claim and agreed to pay, including court expenses and interest.
The couple also bound themselves to purchase €4,000 worth of merchandise from the company every week while the company undertook to sell its merchandise at market prices and to refund to the couple any difference in price if it sold to third parties at a price lower than that at which it sold to them (the Paces).
Mr Justice Silvio Meli took cognisance of the agreement reached between the parties and delivered judgment in terms of the deal struck.
In a separate case in November, the couple were ordered to pay Public Broadcasting Services €47,000 for advertising services. The couple said they reached an agreement to pay €300 a week from October 1, 2013.
