Dog dies from heat stress on board Sicily catamaran

A dog has died from the stifling heat of the garage aboard the catamaran MV San Gwann, which is doing the Sicily trip instead of the damaged MV Jean de la Valette. On Sunday, two brothers were shocked to find that, on arrival in Sicily, their dog Coeco was lying unconscious in his box. “When we boarded the catamaran, we were immediately told we could not take the dog up with us on deck,” said Claudio Venuto, who was travelling with his brother Giuseppe, the dog’s owner. “This is normal procedure.
