Fierce fire in furniture factory

A fierce fire caused considerable damage in a factory used by Blue Sky Furniture in Marsa last night. The blaze was reported at about 9pm and firefighters battled it for several hours. Also last night, residents in a block of apartments in Howard Street, Sliema, were evacuated following a fire in an underground garage. The fire destroyed a car. No one was injured.
