Two charged with damaging public property

A 19-year-old man from Floriana was remanded in custody and a 14-year-old from Msida was conditionally discharged for three months after the two pleaded guilty to causing more than €1,500 worth of damage to public property. They also pleaded guilty to breaching the peace. The 19-year-old, Niko Zammit, was also charged with breaching the conditions of a previous release, escaping custody and disobeying police orders. The minor was ordered to pay half the costs of the damage caused.
