The road from Mosta to Naxxar where the dead cat was found attached to the railing.

Updated 10 a.m. A protest walk which was to have been held in Valletta on the Saturday after Christmas to protest over the latest case of animal cruelty in Mosta has been cancelled because of fear it would serve to give extra publicity to the perpetrator. Organiser Fleur Marie Cilia Buckett said she had received a lot of abuse from people who felt the event she had been planning would be counter-productive. A cat was found dead and crucified upside down in Mosta yesterday in the fifth case of this type in the locality. MsCilia Buckett, who was also one of the persons behind the protest walk after the killing of the dog Star, said in comments on timesofmalta.com and facebook (http://www.facebook.com/events/388728991210865/) that those taking part were to have called for justice to be served to the person/persons who are killing innocent puppies and kittens and crucifying them upside down and nailed to a cross. This, she warned was a symptom of matters which could lead to child abuse. "The matter needs to be taken seriously! This was the fifth time that this had happened and there were no witnesses or CCTV. "How big is this country?! Come on! Is it about time that Justice is served.
