Updated: No one injured in fire at animal feed silo

No one was injured in a fire at an animal feed silo belonging to the Koperattiva Produtturi tal-Halib in Garibaldi Street, Marsa Industrial Estate this afternoon. Animal feed which is then distributed to milk producers for their animals is produced at the factory. The fire, reported at 3.45pm, is believed to have started from a short circuit. All workers were evacuated as fire fighters controlled the fire.
