Car damaged in supermarket carwash blaze

A car was slightly damaged in a fire at the GS Supermarket carwash in Naxxar last night. Residents of apartments overlying the supermarket were evacuated when the blaze was noticed at about 12.30am Some damage was caused to the car wash but no damage was caused to the supermarket itself. The fire was put out by firefighters of the Civil Protection Department.
