All eyes will be on Roderick Cassar when the first case of murder with femicidal intent in Maltese criminal history begins on Tuesday. Cassar stands accused of stalking then shooting his wife Bernice in the head and chest, in a murder case that shocked the nation last week. Prosecutors say that apart from murdering his wife and fleeing to his house in Qrendi, Cassar also used violence against her, stole her mobile phone and car keys, breached a protection order and harassed her.
