CCTV shows woman stealing gas cylinders

Footage of a woman caught on closed circuit television casually stealing four gas cylinders from a house in Marsascala is being circulated online in the hope she can be caught. With a cigarette in her mouth, the woman is seen opening a gate of a house in Battery Street, walking into the garden and helping herself to the cylinders. The woman, sporting short hair, sunglasses and wearing what looks like a track suit, left the house to get a white car to load them. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=446630615401758 The theft took place just after 10am on Monday when the elderly owner of the house was in the kitchen. Her daughter, Angela Mamo, said she posted the CCTV footage on Facebook to raise awareness and warn people to be on the lookout. The 12-minute clip shows a white Toyota Vitz whizzing past the camera’s field of vision before a woman approaches the house’s gate. She has some trouble opening the gate, leaves and returns, apparently speaking to someone on her mobile phone. This time she is successful.
