An 18-year-old man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in St Joseph High Road, Hamrun, late on Wednesday. The police said the victim, a Syrian resident in Fgura, was hit by an Opel Corsa driven by a 24-year-old man from Msida. The accident happened at 9pm. Magistrate Josette Demicoli is holding an inquiry.
