Annual gay parade celebrates recognition granted to same-sex couples

Malta’s gay community this evening held its annual Gay Pride Parade in Valletta on the theme “Family: Where Love Matters More”. Carrying posters and colourful balloons, participants in this year’s parade celebrated the passing of the Civil Unions Act and the legal recognition it grants same-sex couples and their families. The community is holding a series of other activities this week, all aimed at celebrating its achievements.
