New Sa Maison marina to have 240 berths - Gozo ferry berth to be transferred

Transport Malta said today it would issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a minimum 240–berth Marina at Sa Maison It said it would grant a concession for the development, operation and management of an all-weather marina, with a minimum of 240 berths and complementary shore side facilities at Sa Maison. The concession shall be for 25 years. The Authority said there was considerable demand for berthing facilities. Transport Minister Joe Mizzi said that whilst this investment will generate commercial activity in the area, it would also be raising Malta’s profile in the yachting industry across the Mediterranean and consolidate Malta’s strategic position as an international centre of maritime excellence in the Mediterranean.
