Larkin Zahra has been pre-selected along with 15 other young people from other EU countries to receive the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of the European Union in Oslo.
The selection was made in a contest organised by the EU whereby participants were asked: What does peace in Europe mean to you?
Larkin's reply was: My grandparents would have said "a dream". My parents would have said "a process". I say that it's my everyday reality!
A Facebook competition will determine who gets the chance to go to Oslo (the link is: http://www.facebook.com/PeaceEuropeFuture).
"I didn't expect to come so far in the contest and it is only with the help of my fellow Maltese that I can make it to Oslo," Larkin said, while appealing for public support.
Larkin was already well ahead in the Facebook voting this morning with 86 votes.
