Two women treated for smoke inhalation after fire

Two women treated for smoke inhalation following a chip pan fire in a flat in Lapsi Street, St Julian's this evening. The women, who live in the flat, were given first aid by the ambulance on site and then taken to Mater Dei Hospital. Three Civil Protection Department fire engines and the district police were on site.
