Watch: Watchman takes a nap while guarding infiorata

Watching over the infiorata in St George’s Square, Valletta, turned out to be a more tiring job than expected for the security guard who succumbed to deep sleep in the early morning hours of this morning. The carpet of flowers, the dream of V-18 chairman Jason Micallef, was installed as part of the first edition of a three-day Valletta Green Festival. A security guard stationed in the square to prevent passers-by from stealing or vandalising the potted pansies opted to share Mr Micallef’s dream... as he snored the night away.
