Marriage proposal during 'execution'

Antons Loss, 31, asked his girlfriend, Victoria Golava, 23, to marry him during a battle re-enactment at the Medieval Mdina Festival yesterday. When arrested by fighters in the main square of the old capital and asked whether he had any last wish before being executed, he popped the question. Victoria, taken totally by surprise, was speechless at first. But she then said yes. The couple, from Latvia, have been resident in Malta since January.
