Curia announces events ahead of Episcopal Ordination

The Curia has issued a programme of activities to be held ahead of the Episcopal Ordination of Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop of Malta. The programme kicks off on Tuesday at St Sebastian parish church in Qormi, where Mgr Scicluna spent his childhood.  At 5.30 p.m. there will be a celebration for children followed by Mass of the Holy Spirit at 6.30 p.m. The events on Wednesday move to Lija (where Mgr Scicluna's family has lived since 1976) Mass will be held at 6.30 p.m.  On Thursday, ceremony will be held at the Cathedral in Mdina where Mgr Scicluna will become a member of the Cathedral Chapter. At 6.45 p.m. Archbishop Paul Cremona will lead a prayer vigil.  The Apostolic Nuncio will bless Mgr Scicluna's episcopal insignia. The Episcopal Ordination will be held in the morning of November 24 at St John's Co-Cathedral.
