Four convicted in gang rape case, jailed

One man was jailed for rape and another three were convicted of holding a woman against her will in a case concluded today after having been heard behind closed doors.  Muhammed Ali Hasan, 31, was jailed for 11 years on conviction of rape, while Abubaker Ahmed Abdilrahman, 22  was jailed for five years and Omar Osman, 31 and Otman Hasan, 31, for four years each for holding the victim, a Maltese woman, against her will. All are Somali except Hasan, who is Sudanese. The accused had all served five years seven months in preventive custody.
