Notte Bianca injects life into Valletta

Valletta is reenergised this evening as thousands of people throng through its streets to take part in the many activities being held as part of Notte Bianca. The activities have brought the capital, usually dead by 8 p.m., to life. Streets, gardens and cultural venues are hosting diverse entertainment and state palaces and museums have opened their doors, showcasing exhibitions and performances. St John's Co-Cathedral and its museum are also open and the cathedral is jam-packed with visitors who are being shown the restoration and application of 24-karat gold leaf and around the newly restored Chapel of Germany. Notte Bianca is organised annually by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts.
