Updated: Considerably large amount of money stolen in hold-up at lotto booth

A 53-year-old lotto receiver from Hamrun escaped unharmed when two armed and hooded persons turned up at lotto booth where she worked in Triq Giovanni Barbara, Hamrun at around noon, making off with a considerably large amount of money. During the hold-up a 28-year-old client was also present. The thieves escaped in a get away van that was being driven by a third person. The police later found the van in Triq Guze Bajada, corner with Triq Willie Attard, Hamrun. An inquiry is being held.
