Dr Toni Abela, deputy leader of the Labour Party, is being paid €17,500 for consultancy work for the Ministry of the Family and Social Solidarity, minister Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca revealed in reply to a parliamentary question today.
Replying to a question to Claudette Buttigieg (PN) on payments to the ministry's consultants, the minister published the table below.
Separately in reply to another question, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said Dr Abela had been engaged as consultant on legal and political affairs by the Office of the Prime Minister. He said Dr Abela was being provided with an internet and phone service.
