Musical fountain at Smart City's Laguna Walk being tested

SmartCity Malta has commenced functional tests of the musical fountain at the heart of the Laguna Walk. The Laguna Walk is Malta’s only lagoon district and together with four more buildings, will constitute phase two of the SmartCity Malta project. Two of the buildings will house offices and two will house food and beverage outlets. The lagoon, a man-made, geometric water space situated at the centre of the Walk, will be ringed by a shaded, verdant promenade that boasts tasteful contemporary architecture. The highlight of the lagoon will be the island’s largest animated fountain which will powers choreographed jets of water into the sky. Among the mechanical and electrical components to deliver water feature effects are air nozzles and multi-directional device nozzles with LED lights and a sound system. The motion of the sea water will be synchronised with preselected music pieces to create a pleasant ambiance that is stimulating to the senses and presents a unique experience to those who watch.
