The newly-restored Ximenes Redoubt opposite the Salina salt pans has been vandalised.
Graffiti have been found on a small part of the building, which dates back to the time of the knights.
The building was restored as part of a project which is giving new life to the salt pans. The eighteenth-century structure was originally built in 1715 as a coastal fortification. It was later partly converted by the Knights of St John to serve as a warehouse for the salt pans.
