Luxurious car destroyed by fire

The police are investigating a fire which destroyed an Audi Q5 in a private parking area at Triq il-Karmnu in Luqa at around 11.30pm yesterday. They said in a statement that the luxurious car was destroyed by the blaze which was put-out by the Civil Protection Department personnel shortly after the fire was reported. The vehicle is owned by a private company. A gate to the private parking area where the car was parked, which is always kept closed, was found open and the padlock of a nearby store was found broken and its door forced open, the police said. Nothing was missing inside. An inquiry is being held.
