Investigation after biopsy goes missing

The Health Ministry has asked the Chief Executive of Mater Dei Hospital to conduct an investigation after a patient's biopsy went missing. The ministry learned of the missing medical test this morning.  "The case is being taken very seriously and there needs to be accountability in such cases in the interests of transparency and patient rights," the ministry said. The patient's relatives will be informed of the outcome of the investigation.
