Spectacular migration

Flocks of herons flying over the sea on the Marsascala promenade yesterday morning. Mark Sultana, who took the photos above, said that a flock that flew inland consisted of 60 purple herons and two grey herons. He expressed regret that, although protected by law, such species were still targeted by hunters.
