Insults flew in court this morning between Mona Camilleri, widow of Mario Camilleri (L-Imniehru) and Jason Galea, one of the two men accused of his murder and that of his son Mario Jr.
Mrs Camilleri testified how Galea, who is her brother, lured her husband and son on the fateful day in July. The two were found dead in a field in Qajjenza. Jason Galea and George Galea (no relation) are accused of the murder.
At one stage during Mrs Camilleri's testimony, Jason Galea shouted 'liar, liar', to which Mrs Camilleri replied with vulgar language.
Mrs Camilleri testified that on the day in question at around 10 am her husband Mario went to St Julian's police station to sign the bail book. He returned home, met Jason Galea and the two left in two cars. They were meant to go to Marsascala to speak to a notary.
Shortly after, Jason Galea phoned her and told her he would pick up her son in about five minutes. Mario Jr went out and waited for some time in the sun and then he was picked up by a man known as Leli l-iskrun or Id-Deffin.
