Boat capsizes near Ghallis tower

A small boat capsized off Ghallis Tower, Bahar ic-Caghaq today at about 3.50 p.m. Three people were seen holding on to the overturned hull while a fourth swam to shore, people on the scene said. They were rescued by members of the police Administrative Law Enforcement section, who arrived quickly on two dinghies. The overturned boat was towed in. It is not known what caused the incident, but several boats were in the area at the time, making small boats vulnerable to their wake.
