PL approves first group of MEP candidates

Former Prime Minister Alfred Sant and the former head of the Civil Protection Department Peter Cordina are among the Labour Party’s candidates for the MEP elections. In a statement this evening, the party said it approved its first group of candidates for the elections being held in May. The other approved candidates are university lecturers Lino Bianco and Ivan Grixti, architect Clint Camilleri, TV journalist Miriam Dalli and former Sliema councilor Cyrus Engerer. The PL said another group of candidates will be approved in the coming weeks.
