Police force entry into house after boy's plea

Policemen from Cospicua police station had to force entry to a residence in Pietru Pawl Caruana Street last night after an 11-year-old boy called at the station, saying his mother had not opened the door. The boy also told the police that he could hear his five-year-old sibling crying inside. The incident happened at about 10.30 p.m. The police found the 34-year-old mother unconscious. She was revived by an ambulance crew, and refused further assistance.
