A number of Nationalist Party former part-time workers who are owed several months’ pay are seriously considering taking the issue to court, Times of Malta has learnt. In some cases the sums involved total more than €5,000, as a number of people have not received any wages since February.
When contacted, PN general secretary Chris Said said all pending payments would be gradually settled, but gave no specific time frames.
The employees’ resolve to get what they are due grew when earlier this week they were formally informed of their redundancy.
The layoffs include presenters, cameramen and television directors. No full-timers have been laid-off.
