Updated - Body of missing French swimmer found

The body of a 17-year-old French tourist who was missing since Saturday afternoon was found in the sea today off Gozo, the police said. The girl, Emma Nour Yanicostas, died along with a 53-year-old man, Pierre Louis Elie Berlatier after they found themselves in difficulty while swimming of Xwejni in rough seas. Mr Berlatier had jumped into the sea to rescue Ms Yanicostas when she encountered problems. The girl was a friend of his daughter. Her mother arrived in Malta last night. The body was found within Xwejni Bay itself by an AFM diver after he was directed to the spot by a man who is familiar with the current in the bay. The body of Mr Berlatier was lifted from the sea on Saturday.
