Air Malta has been affected by an industry-wide reservations systems failure, the airline said.
Sabre systems, which is used by more than 400 airlines worldwide, reported a system issue early this morning.
The system has now been restored and is slowly returning to normal, Air Malta said.
Its IT and operations teams worked together to minimise inconveniences to passengers and with Sabre to resolve this problem.
The operations team reverted to a manual flight check-in process.
Due to this outage the check-in process may take longer than usual and there maybe some delays to flights, it said.
Other airlines using Malta International Airport were also affected.
