Triq San Pawl in Xemxija suffers structural damage

Triq San Pawl in Xemxija has been closed to traffic after it was deemed unsafe following structural damage to its foundations, the police said. It seems that the damage is due to construction work currently being carried out on the site of the former popular wine bar Il-Veccja, which was demolished after it was condemned. The building had to be rebuilt within a year.
