Murdered man's family files libel suit against Il-Mument

The wife and children of Pawlu Degabriele, known as is-Suldat, who was shot dead in Marsa last month, filed a libel suit against Roderick Agius, editor of Il-Mument. The libel suit was filed for an article which appeared on the June 16 edition implicating Mr Degabriele in recent murders and describing him as a dangerous criminal. Mr Degabriele was shot dead at close range in broad daylight just outside Sammy’s Bar, near the Enemalta Customer Care office in Marsa. His assailant was waiting for him when he walked out of the bar.
