PN billboard on Labour's 'old' faces; No PN position on Dalli case

The Nationalist Party this afternoon unveiled a new election billboard highlighting that several Labour MPs have served as ministers in the Mintoff, Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici and Sant governments. The billboard was unveiled by Justice Minister Chris Said, who warned the country would be taken back to the past should the Labour Party be elected. He listed mistaken decisions taken by Labour in the past, including its opposition to EU membership, the secret treaty with North Korea, the wage freeze, the removal of VAT, new taxes, and the rise in electricity costs when the international oil price was some $12 per barrel. Asked about the John Dalli case, MEP David Casa said the PN had taken no position on this issue and it would not comment while police investigations were still under way. Asked on the impact on Malta's reputation, Dr Said said one incident should not harm Malta's reputation.
