Proceedings against Judge Pace extinguished

Proceedings against late former judge Ray Pace were formally extinguished today upon presentation of his death certificate. Judge Pace had resigned after he was accused of bribery in December. He was found dead on May 6. There were no suspicious circumstances around his death. Judge Pace was accused of having exerted influence on another judge for the jail term of a convicted drug trafficker to be increased in order to benefit a person who owed money to the trafficker.
