Former Żebbuġ mayor cleared

Former Żebbuġ mayor Brian Bonnici has been cleared of charges of abuse of power. Mr Bonnici had resigned in November 2009 following PN media allegations that he used council-paid staff to carry out works at his home. He was later arraigned charged with abusing power and taking personal advantage of his mayorship.
