Three people saved after sailing boat capsizes

Three people were rescued at sea just of Dragonara Point by the Armed Forces of Malta this afternoon. The AFM said they were sighted hanging on to a capsized sailing boat and a search and rescue launch was sent to help them. The boat’s crew found and assisted two Swiss tourists who were hanging onto their capsized boat and took them to the Maritime Squadron Base at Hay Wharf where an ambulance was waiting to deliver medical assistance. Another Swiss man who had been on the same sailing boat was picked up by a private dinghy that was in the vicinity. None of the people saved required medical assistance.
