Multi-award winning, platinum selling producer and electro-dance DJ Afrojack will be the final performer to complete the line-up at this year’s Isle of MTV, the annual, free outdoor live music spectacular taking place on Floriana’s Granaries on June 26, Viacom International Media Networks and the Malta Tourism Authority said.
Afrojack will close this year’s show before an anticipated crowd of 50,000 local music fans, following sensational performances from international superstars Jessie J, Rita Ora and dance collective Rudimental.
With a slew of hard-hitting underground releases, including platinum selling dance anthem “Take Over Control”, Afrojack (real name Nick van de Wall) has achieved meteoric international success in recent years.
Winning two consecutive Grammy awards in a row, Afrojack took home Best Remix (for Madonna’s “Revolver”) in 2011 and Best Rap / Hip Hop track (for Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now”).
He has since collaborated with the likes of David Guetta (co-writing and producing the world-wide smash “Titanium”), Pitbull and Ne-Yo (co-writing and producing “Give Me Everything”), before teaming up with Chris Brown on his most recent hit "As Your Friend."
