Speed boat destroyed by fire

A speed boat caught fire some 100 metres off Balluta Bay last night. The Armed Forces of Malta were informed of the fire at 3.20am and sent a search and rescue boat to the area. The fire was controlled by the S&R vessel. The police and the Civil Protection Department were also on site.
