Accused of beating up former girlfriend

David Spiteri, 23 of Luqa was accused today of having seriously injured his former girlfriend Frances Agius of Rabat. The incident happened in the evening of September 16, when he allegedly beat up the woman  and threatened her. He was also accused of breaching bail. Lawyers Michael and Lucio Schriha did not request bail and he was remanded in custody.
