A 17-year-old boy and his 18-year-old friend this morning admitted to seriously injuring an Arriva officer at the Valletta bus terminusat midnight on September 30.
The incident happened as the two boys got onto to a moving bus and were told to get off by Daniel Seychell.
The teenagers are not being named because they were minors at the time of the incident.
The teenagers admitted to seriously injuring Mr Seychell when they punched him, injuring one of his eyes, causing more than €116 in damages to him, while the youngest of the two committing a crime during the operative part of a previous judgement.
The oldest of the two was conditionally discharged for a year while the youngest had a previous probation order extended by three years.
Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit remarked that she hoped the youngest would learn his lesson after this.
