Financial consultant Paul Bonello has been appointed chairman of Malita Investments plc, the company set up to administer immovable government property.
In the past months, Mr Bonello’s name was synonymous with the fight against Bank of Valletta after investors lost money in a failed property fund.
He also openly declared his support for a change of government during a Labour mass meeting in Żabbar in February.
Contacted yesterday, Mr Bonello declined to confirm his appointment stating he was a firm believer in protocol and that it was not his duty to make such announcements.
Mr Bonello is managing director of Finco Trust group of companies.
